Interviews

I’ve had the opportunity to interview some of the most influential people in AI, including Mark Zuckerberg, Satya Nadella, Demis Hassabis, Mustafa Suleyman, and more.

Fun fact: My very first interview (as either a host or guest) was with Mark Zuckerberg in 2024.

AI stack

I’m often asked which AI tools I use to automate and scale my work. Here’s a list of what stuck.

Note: I dedicate every Sunday to testing and building with AI, so my stack is constantly getting refined.

  • ChatGPT:
    • “GPT LifeOS”: A network of chats for advisory on important decisions across business, health, and wealth, trained on a vast mentor knowledge base.
    • Voice: Real-time thinking partner for business, growth, and life, then asking for toxic patterns and blind spots. I also keep it on while reading to clarify concepts.
    • Vision: Diagnosing broken tech around the house, and translating documents, menus, and signs in Switzerland (I don’t speak German yet).
    • GPTs: Custom chatbots trained on Loom videos, SOPs, and internal docs to onboard new hires. Motto: “Don’t ask questions you haven’t asked GPT first”.
    • GPT-5: Handles basic coding (including helping build this site).
    • Summarization: Digests long emails, missed Slack threads, research papers, and anything I don’t want to read but *know I should*.
  • Claude:
    • Editor-in-chief: Polishes my long-form writing (newsletters, tweets) based on my best writing (go-to prompt: “make it better”).
    • Scripting: Converts rough drafts into optimized scripts for videos (eg. reformats hook based on platform, emphasizes core ideas)
  • Claude Code:
    • Growth marketing: Runs live Meta Ads analytics in-app through an MCP server, and uses a memory system to recall past tests for faster, self-improving ad iteration.
    • Voice dictated writing (via Wispr Flow): Turns voice notes into polished writing based on my trained style.
  • Lindy AI:
    • Assistant: Manages my calendar and books meetings via email.
    • Customer support: Drafts replies for FAQs and common customer questions.
  • Zapier:
    • Basic automations: Syncing content between websites, Slack/email notification systems, tagging, and newsletter email subscription syncing.
    • Advanced automations: Resume and sales screening based on inbound lead flow.
    • Zapier Agent: Filtering spam from real genuine customer feedback or support questions in email inboxes, ping the right team members in Slack, and auto-drafting replies.
  • HeyGen/ElevenLabs: Clones my face and voice for my AI avatar, which has helped me grow to 100k+ followers on Instagram without filming myself. (We still spend a ton of time researching, storytelling, editing).
  • Gemini: Auto-generates timestamps and finds clippable highlights from interviews.
  • Perplexity Comet: Lets me “chat” with YouTube videos and go into mini rabbit holes to fully grasp concepts.
  • Granola: Records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings into action items.
  • Ideogram: Generates images for my newsletter with clean text.
  • Photoshop Generative Fill: Quick photo touch-ups in Photoshop.

Life rundown

2000-2005

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC.

2005-2013

Elementary school = peak life. Had an early growth spurt. Started swimming competitively.

2013-2018

Private school until Grade 10, public school to Grade 12. Quit swimming to hit gym and “bulk up.” Gained 50 lbs in 3 months and blew out my knees (they recovered).

2019

Started at SFU. Majors tried: Psychology, Criminology, Kinesiology. Felt lost on what to do with life. Started swimming again to cope.

2020

Transferred to UVIC to join the swim team. 11 practices/week, 7,000+ calories a day. COVID lockdown hit. Skipped all my Zoom classes.

2021

Finally realized school wasn’t for me. Dropped out to try to go pro for swimming while teaching myself code, design, UI/UX, marketing, and content. Found out I could teach myself anything online faster than school.

2022

Diagnosed with Crohn’s. Lost 30 lbs and had to quit swimming (again). Redirected obsession to learning AI (100+ hours/week). Started tweeting learnings and went viral when ChatGPT exploded in November.

2023

Started The Rundown and hit 250k subs organically (!). Twitter hit 1B+ views and 500K+ followers. Hired my first team, turned the newsletter into a real business, made my first million from my childhood bedroom.

2024

Scaled The Rundown to 820k subs while staying bootstrapped. Launched AI University (my first EdTech product). First interview (ever) with Mark Zuckerberg.

2025

Moved to Switzerland and started two new businesses (not fun). Continued exec interviews. The Rundown launched custom platform and hit 2M+ subs. Made Forbes 30u30. More soon…
